Here is why -
Police in Garissa have in the past arrested individuals selling donkey meat in butcheries that are only supposed to sell cow beef. Unscrupulous meat vendors are suspected to be behind such disappearances which consequently lead to tensions among the locals as different communities accuse each other of involvement in the thefts.
