Here is why -
The police car was ambushed by armed al-Shabaab militia a few kilometres from Gamba Police Station while escorting passenger buses from Lamu to Minjila. Several police officers were injured with gunshot wounds and are receiving treatment but the whereabouts of the others is still unknown since some had to run for their lives.
