Incumbent Governor of menu County, Kiraitu Murungi has not been arrested and this is false. He has however, lost to Kawira Mwangaza who was an independent candidate.
Kawira trounced seasoned politicians - UDA's Mithika Linturi and incumbent Governor Kiraitu Murungi - to win the seat.
